Spruance Announces 2019 Charitable Giving Awards 

The Spruance manufacturing site recently announced the recipients of its charitable giving awards that will make a positive and notable impact on the Richmond-area community. These 15 awards, totaling more than $130,000 in grants, reflect the values of the Spruance site, our employees and DuPont. The award amounts ranged $1,000 - $30,000.

Community Organizations – Focus

  • Science Museum of Virginia – Girls in Science 
  • FeedMore – Fighting hunger with healthy meals
  • Mercy Mall – Serving the hungry and homeless 
  •  Rebuilding Together Richmond – Repairs for houses/community spaces
  • Sacred Heart Center – After school programs 
  • Junior Achievement – Skills for economic success
  • World U.P. Foundation – Providing fresh produce to the hungry 
  • Safe Harbor – Support for domestic violence/human trafficking survivors
  • Old Dominion Firefighters Burn Foundation – Collaborate with local fire departments 

 

Robotics Organizations – Focus

  • FIRST Robotics (Team 1599, Atlee) – STEM, Robotics 
  • FIRST Robotics (Mech Tech Dragons 422, Maggie Walker) – STEM, Robotics
  • FIRST Robotics (Team Talon 540) – STEM, Robotics 
  • FIRST Robotics (Team RoboHawks 346, LC Bird) – STEM, Robotics
