Enhancing respect and equity
In 2020, we were all forced to reckon with the realities of racial injustice and discrimination in our communities, causing many of us to reflect on our own attitudes and beliefs. Wanting to be part of the global solution, DuPont Water & Protection (W&P) created the W&P Respect and Equity Council to advance respect, equity and inclusion across three dimensions:
In 2020, the Council held 32 global Unconscious Bias sessions for over 240 W&P colleagues around the globe, with plans to add more session facilitators and target 600 people in 2021. The W&P Global Leadership Team (GLT) identified over 20 projects to implement across 2020 and 2021 that drive visibility and accelerated development for diverse populations within our business. The GLT also adopted key talent practices that will provide more balanced interview panels and expanded the way roles are advertised to recruit diverse talent. The Council also adapted the new corporate DE&I tracking tool to include their own metrics on learning, development, recruitment and retention.
These efforts are all part of our overall DE&I strategy to make us one of the most diverse and inclusive companies by 2030.
