In 2020, the HR team in our Asian Pacific (AP) region launched a three-phase accelerated leadership development program called the Leadership Bootcamp program. The first phase focused on self-awareness, including customized interviews, a personalized overview of the program’s objectives and tools, and a three-way discussion with the participant, his or her program mentor, and the participant’s manager.

Phase Two was intended to be a four-day, in-person classroom learning, but was converted to eight virtual sessions due to the global pandemic. These sessions took place in large and small groups, using virtual interactive team-based simulations, presentations and assignments. Using their newly honed skills, participants also created action plans to solve real-world, market and business challenges and opportunities that we are facing in the AP region today.

In the third phase of the program, participants worked with their program mentors to plan their continued personal development, and to provide feedback that will help to refine the program and develop next steps for their business challenge action plans.
